Flurt is an old Manx word with its roots in bringing people together.
Traditionally, a flurt was a feast held at the end of a piece of work — a moment when the job was done, tools could be put down, and people gathered around a table to eat, drink and celebrate. It was also the name given to the feast held when a crew had been brought together for a vessel.
So a flurt was more than a meal.
It was the gathering after the work. The sharing of food. The raising of a glass. The company around the table.
That idea is at the heart of what we do at Flurt @ The Bridge.
Our kitchen does the work.
Our team brings everything together.
And then we invite you to sit down, take your time, and enjoy the Flurt.
Good food. Good drink. Good company.
A very old Manx tradition, reimagined.
Our Ethos
Take Pride in the Work.
Bring People Together.
Celebrate the Moment.

A Flurt traditionally came after the work was done.
We believe the celebration is only as good as the work that comes before it - care, craft, effort & attention to detail.
Do the work, do it well.

A Flurt was about gathering around the table.
Food & Drink are best when they are shared.
Everyone has a place at our table.

The work is done. The food arrives. Glasses are raised.
A Flurt reminds us that ordinary moments are worth celebrating - great food, good drink, laughter and the people you're sharing them with.
Eat. Drink. Gather. Celebrate.
